THE RECOVERY TEAM
The psychology team at LTE administer and provide support for all of the programmes - the team are all BACP and BPS psychologists and psychotherapists accredited in Recovery Therapy (NCFE Level 4 through CPD). They are professionally qualified Anxiety Recovery Practitioners.
THE PROGRAMS
The programs are psycho-educational. As the disorders are in fact, endocrine response disorders and not mental illnesses, they do not respond to medication, therapy, counselling, hypnosis or any other widely used treatment.
Psycho-educational recovery practice is biologically, the only way to recover.
Like unfitness is reduced by increased levels of exercise which moves the mind and body towards fitness, psycho-education does the exact same to eliminate anxiety, phobias, obsessions, panic, low mood and all other anxiety conditions. There is no other solution or short-cut.
Psycho-education is how we learn everything throughout life.
Mental illnesses include psychosis, brain injury, degenerative diseases and true, clinical depression. Fear disorders aren’t remotely associated with these conditions.
IT'S SIMPLE SCIENCE
TLM teaches you to deactivate the disordered element of the fear response in the same way as exercise teaches people to deactivate the disordered element of 'fitness'.
The speed of efficacy is dependent on one factor. Compliance.
If a person is compliant, the mind can switch off inappropriate fear responses and therefore all associated manifestations including phobias, obsessions, compulsions and panic, in a very short time. Biologically, this can be seconds. Practically it is often 1 to 5 days.
As it is the ONLY way to remove anxiety, it's a case of just 'doing it', because not doing it is rejecting recovery.
As the systemic responses are all built in to every human by evolution, a person with anxiety will recover.FACT
The only exacerbating issues are related to other physiological conditions which might make recovery difficult. The same is true of exercise.
Once recovery from anxiety is reached, relapse is impossible. The mind modifies neurology through neuroplasticity and prevents a new disorder from activating.
Cognitive or 'talking' therapy is scientifically flawed as it focuses on cognition. Cognition (thought) does not play a part in fear response and therefore, no amount of thought will manipulate or change anxiety levels. In fact, talking about it will only make it worse.
Furthermore, there is no monitoring of CBT practice and practitioners add, often, harmful and sometimes ridiculous practices to their sessions, creating a bastardisation of the original process.
Over the years we have heard horrific stories of the treatments people have received.
OUTCOMES
Like all learning processes, TLM is measured on outcomes. “I was A, now I am B”. Like examination processes in schools, evidence of efficacy of the process is measured by the outcome. This is the same. Recovery = efficacy. Please look at some of the thousands of recoveries we have created on our websites. This is not evident elsewhere.
NHS testing showed that TLM is 100% effective at reducing anxiety down to normal levels.
In psychology and psychiatry the science is not in any way associated with the science of anxiety disorders (which are not psychological in nature). Efficacy within psychological practice is not measured in recovery outcomes, it is measured, most commonly, in attendance rates.
